CONSENT FORM (RECORDING LECTURES)
Some lecturers may wish to reserve the right not to allow students to use recording devices in lecture situations. However, students with specific learning disabilities, (such as dyslexia), may find that short-term memory difficulties and writing speeds are problematic in lecture or discussion sessions. Students may also have physical disabilities, medical conditions, or concentration difficulties associated with ADHD, OCD, etc.

In these kinds of instances, allowing recording is normally seen as a reasonable adjustment for disabled students.

If you have a disability and wish to use a recording device in lectures, please download the following form, read it carefully, and then indicate your consent by signing and returning it to the Disabilities Coordinator, Michael Woodman (mwoodman@sgul.ac.uk).

If you have not engaged with disability support at St. George's prior to submitting this form, the Disabilities Coordinator would usually request medical evidence to accompany this form.

Staff and students can find out more by reading the guidance at the end of this document, or by calling the Disabilities Coordinator on 020 8725 0143.
